Licensed Associate Counselor in NJ

If you’re reading this, it’s likely you’re facing something significant in your life. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, flooded with sadness, struggling with past traumas, or wrestling with the daily struggles of life. Whatever it is, please know that you are not alone.

My name is Marlin Marte and I am a dedicated clinician on the path to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have my Masters degree in Professional Clinical Counseling. Growing up as an Afro LatinX first-generation college student, I deeply understand the cultural struggles and barriers to accessing mental health support. This understanding drove me to obtain my Masters degree in Professional Clinical Counseling and my journey has led me to work with adolescents, teens, and their families as they navigate life’s challenges. Many of the individuals I have worked with have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, alongside navigating the unique developmental hurdles of their age group.

As a trauma- informed and Spanish speaking therapist, my passion is to provide culturally competent therapy to people of color. I prioritize creating a safe space where individuals can freely explore their emotions and thoughts. I have experience and knowledge using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals understand and manage these difficult emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, fostering self- awareness and self- compassion. My approach to counseling is centered around empowering individuals to develop skills and strategies needed to navigate challenges with clarity and confidence. Together we can work towards meaningful change in your life to promote healing and growth.

You are brave for seeking support and I would be honored to join you on your healing journey!
